What am I reading? November 2019

Reading is a bit lower on my priority list this month, as I try to tackle NaNoWriMo and write report cards at school. But I am still keeping up with audio books and some reading.

Non-Fiction: I am reading Good Time Girls of the Alaska-Yukon Gold Rush by Lael Morgan as research for nanowrimo.

Fiction: I am still listening on Audible to the Mistborn books by Brandon Sanderson with my husband. We are on book 2, and loving it. Unfortunately, progress is now a bit slowed down thanks to my new writing schedule. Seriously though, if you like Heist Novels, Political Intrigue Novels, or just good, interesting, magic systems and original fantasy worlds, read these books! Children's: I am actually listening to Aesop's Fables. I was listening to Brandon Sanderson's podcast,

Writing Excuses

(Seriously if you like writing, especially fantasy/sci fi, and you like podcasts, this is by far the best podcast out there!) and they gave a writing prompt to take a fable and tone down the message just enough to make it read like fiction with an allegory and less hit you over the head with the lesson. I've been trying to listen for one with a good relevant message to the plot of my NaNoWriMo novel, that I could write a short story based off it that could be incorporated into my story as ancillary for he world. Alright, I promise to be back next month with better recommendations! Don't forget to sign up as a member of my sight so you can

read along with my NaNoWriMo progress.
